22) Learn how to make Maple syrup

Yes friend part of my job is to give Maple syrup tours and I also got to be involved in setting up the maple line. Though I have not actually seen how maple syrup is made, I feel like I can cross this one off the list because I am learning about it and will get to help make it soon.

I also got to taste the sap straight from the tree, it tasted like watered down sugar.

Oh and another fun story so we use snow to cover up the huge barrels that the sap will be stored in, and today as we were putting snow on the barrels we found tons of soggy cheese sandwiches in the snow.  I guess Wisconson snow likes cheese just as much as I do.

4) Ride on a train

I am currently sitting on an Amtrak train.  This is my first time rideing a passenger train other than the ones at amusement parks.  I would have to say I have enjoyed it emmensly.  Every inch of scenery seems  breathtaking, in one day I saw a place that had 4ish inches of snow and a place that had none.  You move quick but if you are quick enough you can catch some real beauty.  Some miss it because they are just traveling from point A to point B.

Yesterday around mindnight we passed Toledo Ohio and I saw flames coming out of a building.  It looked controlled, but I thought to myself holy Toledo what is going on.

A lot of Amish people ride the train.  I love watching them, emmencsed in technology yet keeping there tradition.

So first one done 29 to go.  bring it on.

#5 get a pen pal.

Today I went to the Mail room and to my surprise I got my first letter from my Pen Pal Jen Spears.  It made me smile and really happy.  I know what you are thinking, but wait I wanted to be your pen pal.  That is fine.  I would love to have a bunch of pen pal's but this is my first one.

Above is the cards that I ordered as well.  They are fantastic and I can't wait to send them to other people as well.  Yeah this is awesome.   I was looking to the link on the website so that you to could order an awesome card from the fabulous Jen Spears, but I couldn't find it.  So that info will be coming soon.

2 done 27 to go

#18 ride on a city bus

Allright Here I go this was the first Goal I have done this year.

Monday the 23rd, I embarked to go to Occidental to Sebastapol on a city bus.  My first part of the journey was to walk to the bust stop.  That day it was raining and  I encountered some huge puddles, which I decided to jump into.

Then I made it to the bus stop.  Although I was at the wrong place the guy let me on anyway and gave me a ticket so I could transfer onto another bus.
Then I transferred in Monte Rio.  I sat at the stop for a little while the bus driver had a smoke break.

I was the only person on the bus so she talked about how the roads were flooded that morning and she was an hour late getting to her first stop.  Then as we drove the bus filled up with a lot of people.
We took the long way to Sebastapol, but it was a lot of fun.  I got off at the Sebastopol safeway, and met up with my friend Kaity, and went thrift store shopping.

First Goal down 28 to go
